Hello! My name is Megan Love, and I am excited about my first year of teaching. I am eager to meet each of you and your child(ren) to begin learning their unique personalities. I have big plans for this year, and I cannot wait to start on them.
A little about my education is that I graduated high school in 2012 from Lauderdale County High School. I attended Calhoun Community College and transferred to Athens State University, where I recently graduated with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and a minor in English Language Learners (ELL).
When I am not teaching or planning new activities, I enjoy going antique shopping, redoing furniture, traveling to new places, and spending time with my four-month-old nephew.
I understand that many of you may be weary in having a "brand-new" teacher, who is not married nor has any children of her own. But, I definitely have experience with children beyond my years. I started babysitting children, ranging in age from newborn to elementary years, in junior high school and continued throughout most of my college years. I have been very active in the children's department at my church since I was in high school. Throughout my last year at Athens State, I was a substitute in the surrounding areas, which gave me a variety of great experiences with different grades. After graduating, I received a full-time position as an aid to gain more experience before entering my own classroom.
I look forward to a wonderful year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, suggestions, or concerns you may have. I want to provide your child(ren) with the best education possible.
